Hydrostatic slideways – recommendations of design and exploitation. In the paper the model of the hydrostatic closed slideways with constant pressure supply has been described. Examples of design solutions of slideways including shape of working surfaces have been presented. Moreover, the recommendations of design and exploitation for slideways applied in machine tools have been also given.

Indirect measurement methods of compressed air leakage. The paper deals with indirect measurement method of compressed air leakage in pneumatic system conducted by means of measurement apparatus parallel to the pipeline. Measurement method has been presented. Measurement apparatus enables to measure leakage in any place of pneumatic installation without knowledge of vessel volume and compressor flow rate.

Hydraulic and mechanical vibration of a gear pump. This article presents a measuring methodology applicable for measuring pressure pulsations inside the pump nozzle and the notch between gear-teeth as well as for measuring of vibration accelerations given in three planes of the pump housing. It also provides a procedure of passing measured analog parameters and their processing to digital form for effecting transformations of temporal characteristics into frequency characteristics. These characteristics are more useful for analysis of dynamic processes in hydraulic systems powered by gear pumps (positive displacement pumps).

Selected problems of filtration of hydraulic oils and lubricants. The paper presents consequences of using modern zinc-free and ashless hydraulic and lubrication oils with low electrical conductivity. Stat-Free® filter elements are used to prevent electrostatic discharge generation and therefore ensure safer operation of the system. When using oil ageing is advanced, a costly oil change can be avoided by using chemical filter systems (HYDAC IXU).

The automated designing of hydrocylinders. The paper presents the system of automatic designing of hydrocylinders. On the basis of the chosen CAD-system the parametrized model of hydrocylinders is created. It allows to project quickly various kinds and standard sizes of hydrocylinders with simultaneous greatest possible unification of a design of a product. With its help it is possible to develop operatively engineering specifications of any hydrocylinders for small and average series in manufacture.
